Job summary

Cura-Hospitality is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join Benedictine New Brighton’s healthcare team in New Brighton, MN. You will assess and address nutritional needs of patients/residents, develop interventions, and support quality of life aligned with individual goals.

As a non-exempt, hourly role, you will collaborate across departments to ensure nutrition standards, education, and care planning meet regulatory requirements and patient rights are respected.

Qualifications

• Passed a national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR rules.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
