Job summary

Elior is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join our healthcare team in New Brighton. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and support quality of life for patients and residents.

This is a non-exempt, hourly position embedded in the Benedictine New Brighton - Innsbruck facility. Key duties include providing nutrition education to the care team, adhering to standards and regulatory requirements, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the dining

Qualifications

• Must pass the national exam administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meet the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR guidelines.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients, residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining services and nutrition.
• Contribute to development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
