Job summary

CFS, a Towson-based real estate development and property management firm, is seeking an Accounting & Payroll Coordinator. The role combines payroll, accounting, HR, benefits, and operations, with exposure to executive leadership in a stable, family-oriented environment.

This onsite, Monday–Friday position offers training from a long-tenured colleague and opportunities for growth. Responsibilities include processing payroll for about 50 employees, coordinating with a third-party payroll provider,

Qualifications

• Experience with Yardi Voyager is strongly preferred.
• Payroll processing experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Real estate, property management, or multi-entity accounting experience.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
• HR or benefits administration experience (preferred).
• Accounting degree or equivalent practical experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for approximately 50 employees.
• Manage payroll through a third-party payroll provider.
• Allocate labor costs across multiple entities and properties.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding employee information.
• Generate payroll-related reports and analyses.
• Support payroll process improvements and system administration activities.
• Utilize Yardi and advanced Excel reporting tools.
• Assist with HR and benefits coordination.
• Prepare year-end tax workpapers; assist budgeting and general ledger activities.
• Provide additional accounting and operational support as needed.
