Job summary

Mental Health Treatment Centers of America is seeking a Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Specialist to support our behavioral health organization by managing the revenue cycle process. You will handle insurance claims, verify patient information, post payments, and resolve balance issues to ensure timely reimbursements.

The role requires precision, problem-solving, and effective communication with payers and patients in an onsite setting, contributing to quality patient care and efficient billing

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management.
• Experience with behavioral health billing is preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Submit, track, and manage insurance claims for behavioral health services.
• Follow up on denied, rejected, unpaid, or underpaid claims and process appeals as needed.
• Post and reconcile insurance and patient payments accurately.
• Manage accounts receivable and work to reduce outstanding balances.
• Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve billing and reimbursement issues.
• Respond to patient billing inquiries and assist with payment arrangements.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation within billing systems and EMRs.
• Generate reports related to collections, reimbursement activity, and accounts receivable performance.
• Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), verify patient information, and navigate payer portals.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, payer requirements, and company policies.
