Job summary

Insulet Corporation is seeking a Co-op in R&D Chemistry for January–June 2027. The role will be onsite in Acton, MA, with hybrid work options.

You will work in the chemistry lab, gaining hands-on experience with biocompatibility and safety testing for body-worn drug delivery devices. The position involves GCMS, FTIR, and UPLC-MS analyses, sample coordination with contract labs, and authoring protocols and reports.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS/BA in a chemistry or related field; strong foundational knowledge in lab techniques.
• Ability to handle chemistry-based lab equipment safely and accurately.
• Commitment to proper documentation and data integrity within the lab.

Responsibilities

• Operate GCMS and perform off-gas analysis on Pod components.
• Use FTIR to investigate foreign matter related to R&D or manufacturing.
• Apply UPLC-MS to study extractables and leachables in Pod products.
• Coordinate sample submissions to contract labs.
• Author Test Protocols and Test Reports for biocompatibility as needed.
• Support other groups as needed and maintain safety guidelines.
• Maintain electronic/paper notebooks and establish instrument procedure files.
