Job summary

C.R. Daniels, Inc. in Ellicott City, MD is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead and continuously improve quality processes while supporting manufacturing operations. You will drive corrective actions, maintain documentation, and ensure products meet customer and internal requirements.

The role collaborates with manufacturing, engineering, and sales to resolve quality issues, develop inspection plans, and mentor quality personnel in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field required
• Strong knowledge of QMS and QA/QC processes
• Hands-on experience with inspection tools and techniques
• Experience performing internal audits and ensuring compliance
• Root cause analysis and effective corrective actions
• Strong analytical skills for data interpretation
• Excellent cross-functional communication
• Government/defense quality requirements preferred
• ISO 9001 / AS9100D / CDI / QAR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement customer-specific quality requirements, including drawings and supplier manuals
• Oversee receiving, in-process, and final inspections for conformity
• Lead nonconforming material process with disposition and documentation
• Initiate and drive corrective and preventive actions for quality issues
• Identify and implement risk management in assigned departments
• Serve as the quality interface with sales for resolutions
• Develop and maintain inspection plans and quality documentation
• Review/approve quotes and resulting customer contracts
• Review/approve purchase orders to external suppliers
• Plan and supervise quality activities to meet/exceed expectations
• Train and supervise inspection and quality personnel
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and drive improvements
