Job summary

David Protein is seeking a Manager, On-site Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure our products are manufactured to the highest quality standards, on-site with our co-manufacturing partners. You will understand our product, processes, equipment, and variation sources, driving issues to resolution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing quality or engineering.
• Strong quality mindset with high bar for product consistency and detail.
• Demonstrated RCA, corrective actions, and process improvement experience.
• Ability to use data and experiments to identify root causes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary onsite quality and technical representative at co-manufacturing partners.
• Own day-to-day manufacturing quality performance and ensure products meet specifications.
• Develop a deep technical understanding of processes, materials, and variation sources.
• Identify quality issues early and drive containment, RCA, and corrective action.
• Lead investigations into deviations, defects, and process failures.
• Apply engineering problem-solving to equipment, conditions, and packaging.
• Design and execute plant trials to understand process behavior and improvements.
• Establish process controls, specifications, and standards to reduce variation.
• Drive continuous improvement across quality, yield, scrap, and throughput.
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to implement improvements.
