Job summary

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Quality Control Manager to oversee construction quality for a modernization project at Trinity River Fish Hatchery. The QC Manager will lead the project's quality control program, verify compliance with contract requirements, and coordinate inspections, testing, documentation, and corrective actions across multiple construction disciplines.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, 5+ years of QC management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• 5+ years of experience managing construction quality control on federal or complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience with water or wastewater facilities, hatcheries, or similar infrastructure.
• Knowledge of plans, specs, shop drawings, samples, and testing for QC.
• Credential in Construction Quality Management or USACE course completion.
• OSHA 30-hour safety training within last 5 years; valid driver’s license; drug screen/background.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects from start to finish with a focus on quality control.
• Lead QC meetings to define standards of care and ensure sign-offs per submittal.
• Verify materials meet approved submittals and are stored and used properly.
• Hold client, superintendent, foreman, and subs meetings before each phase; document in QC reports.
• Review plans, specs, and cost data to identify QC risk factors.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance to specs.
• Perform tests to verify control measures meet contract requirements.
• Maintain project as-built drawings and QC logs daily.
• Document inspections and address non-conformances before proceeding.
• Ensure agency inspections and certifications are completed.
• Prepare project closeout documents.
• Advise on changes to methods and materials.
