Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Miami-Dade County, FL, seeks a QA/QC Inspector to conduct daily field inspections and ensure construction activities meet project specifications, contract requirements, and regulatory standards.

You will verify installed work, track quality concerns, and support corrective actions on a civil remediation project. This full-time on-site role requires 40-hour HAZWOPER and at least 10 years of QA/QC experience, with strong reporting, documentation, and communication

Qualifications

• 40-hour HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour refresher certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or bachelor’s in CM, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of QA/QC inspection, construction inspection or quality management experience.
• Experience supporting environmental remediation, civil construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience preparing inspection reports, quality documentation, and tracking logs.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other construction management software platforms.
• Ability to work onsite full time in Miami-Dade County, FL.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between project sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field inspections and verify installed work against project specs.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and document quality concerns requiring corrective action.
• Review inspection and testing reports and track nonconformance items.
• Support quality audits and maintain project documentation.
• Promote quality workmanship, reduce rework, and ensure successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with construction managers, subcontractors, and client representatives.
