Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Miami-Dade County, FL, seeks a QA/QC Inspector to conduct daily field inspections and ensure construction activities meet project specifications, contract requirements, and regulatory standards.

You will verify installed work, track quality concerns, and support corrective actions on a civil remediation project. This full-time on-site role requires 40-hour HAZWOPER and at least 10 years of QA/QC experience, with strong reporting, documentation, and communication

Qualifications

• 40-hour HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour refresher certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or bachelor’s in CM, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of QA/QC inspection, construction inspection or quality management experience.
• Experience supporting environmental remediation, civil construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience preparing inspection reports, quality documentation, and tracking logs.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other construction management software platforms.
• Ability to work onsite full time in Miami-Dade County, FL.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between project sites.

Responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspector (QA/QC Inspector), you will be responsible for ensuring construction and environmental remediation activities are performed in accordance with project specifications, contract requirements, regulatory standards, and Jacobs’ quality expectations. You will conduct daily field inspections, verify compliance of installed work, monitor subcontractor performance, document construction activities, and identify quality concerns requiring corrective action.

You will work closely with construction managers, project managers, subcontractors, and client representatives to maintain quality standards throughout project execution. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, observing construction activities, overseeing subcontractor quality control testing, reviewing inspection and testing reports, tracking nonconformance items, supporting quality audits, and maintaining project documentation. You will play a key role in promoting quality workmanship, reducing rework, and ensuring successful project delivery.

This position requires full-time onsite support for a civil construction project located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

• Experience with environmental remediation, earthwork, utility installation, and waste management activities
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, corrective actions, and nonconformance reporting
• Experience working on projects for federal, state, or municipal clients
• Keen eye for quality control during inspections and subcontractor oversight
• Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, accurate, and timely field reports
• Effective communication skills with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative project team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced field environment

The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $128,480.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
