Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector seeks a Network Support Technician to support ICE OCIO ITFO in Birmingham, AL. The NST provides Tier 2 on-site and remote support for LANs, servers, peripherals, and end-user devices in a 24x7 environment.

The role reports to Area Technical Lead, requiring independent work and occasional after-hours rotation. Responsibilities include configuring network devices, supporting various devices, testing server configurations, monitoring health and backups, and generating

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen and pass DHS E-Verify.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years IT-related support experience, preferably in helpdesk or customer support.
• Ability to troubleshoot desktop, network, or other IT issues.
• General knowledge of network products and systems.
• Experience in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide LAN administrator support with installation, configuration and maintenance of network devices, servers, storage arrays and tape backups.
• Support network-attached devices including computers, printers, biometrics, medical devices, sensors, and smart displays.
• Support mobile and wireless devices such as smartphones and hotspots.
• Assist in testing and applying server configurations and security patches.
• Maintain health of systems and backups including restore testing.
• Monitor ITSM (ServiceNow) assignments and troubleshoot tickets.
• Update tickets with documentation templates to meet quality requirements.
• Provide regular activity reports.
• Assist inventory system with customer inventories.
