Job summary

The University of Michigan is seeking a Development Research Analyst to partner with Michigan Medicine Office of Development gift teams, gathering and analyzing information to support fundraising and cultivation activities. The role involves independent workload management and collaboration with senior leadership in Development Research.

Three days per week on-site at the Michigan Medicine Development offices, with hybrid work flexibility.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Information Science or Humanities.
At least three years of related work experience and at least two years of experience in prospect development or associated fundraising experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to synthesize information into coherent documents.
Commitment to ethics and confidentiality; ability to interact with executive-level clients.

Responsibilities

Assess and meet prospect identification and information needs for assigned gift teams.
Estimate donor gift capacity through analysis of financial and philanthropic information.
Identify areas of philanthropic interest and engagement with MM.
Synthesize data into key metrics and visualizations for development officers.
