Job summary

Morguard, a fully integrated real estate company, seeks a Service Technician for its Residential Maintenance Operations in New Orleans, LA. The role involves hands-on maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs, handling resident service requests and making-ready vacant homes to market-ready condition.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of residential maintenance experience, EPA Universal certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Two years of residential maintenance experience including work orders and make-ready turns.
• EPA Universal certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance.
• Make-ready vacant apartments for leasing and inspect completed work.
• Procure materials and track inventory with the maintenance team.
• Assist in grounds, common areas, and amenities maintenance and cleaning.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing when possible.
• Participate in quarterly preventative maintenance program.
• Be able to accommodate rotating after-hours emergency on-call schedule.
