Job summary

Capstone Real Estate Services, Inc. seeks an Assistant Manager for an Affordable housing community in the South Dallas area. Based in Wilmer, TX, you will handle rent collection, payments, and deposits, post transactions, and verify ledgers.

You will also oversee tenant files, file invoices, and manage evictions per policy. Help with leasing and move-ins, coordinate maintenance, and maintain a positive community image.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Strong Math Skills.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily transactions and tasks related to the financial operation of the community by collecting and posting rent, fees, and other payments, preparing daily bank deposits and monthly close out reports, and processing invoices and payables.
• Opens property management software and completes transactions by entering correctly and by completing updates and backups to ensure system integrity.
• Reviews resident files and accounting records to determine unpaid or late fees, communicates with residents about balances, and enforces lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Reviews and submits invoices from vendors and contractors for payment, reconciling work performed, obtaining approval, and coding charges to Chart of Account codes.
• Follows eviction procedures, enables court proceedings, and manages move-outs per lease terms and legal requirements.
• Promotes resident satisfaction by addressing complaints and requests promptly and resolving service issues.
• Acts as on-site supervisor in absence of the community manager, coordinating maintenance and make-ready tasks and ensuring operations comply with policies.
• Assists with leasing, showing apartments, processing applications, and preparing leases and move-in documents.
• Promotes a positive image of the apartment community and management company.
