Job summary

Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC) is seeking an On-site Property Manager II for a temporary assignment at LTSC-managed residential buildings in Los Angeles. The role oversees operations, finances, and staff, with the onsite residency requirement and availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The position requires 3+ years in property management and 2+ years in supervision, plus knowledge of LIHTC/HUD/HOME/Section 8 and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive property management experience.
• At least 2 years in supervisory or multi-site capacity.
• Experience with affordable housing programs such as LIHTC, HCD, LAHD, and/or Section 8 preferred.
• Experience working with formerly unhoused individuals or residents with special needs preferred.
• Strong administrative, organizational, recordkeeping, and time-management skills.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Valid California driver’s license and an acceptable driving record may be required.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the property in accordance with policies, budgets, and laws.
• Hire, train, coach, and retain onsite staff, including other property managers and leasing agents.
• Collect rents and process resident charges; maintain accurate accounts.
• Show available apartments and assist with applications and move-ins/move-outs.
• Maintain compliance with LIHTC, HUD, HOME, LAHD and other regulations.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and documentation requests.
• Respond to resident questions and enforce rules fairly.
• Ensure on-site residency and availability for emergencies.
