Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for onsite duties in Birmingham, AL, USA. You will support the Property Manager and staff across marketing, operations, and financial activities for a single property or portfolio.

The role focuses on tenant relations, inspections, budgeting, and reporting, with a strong emphasis on CBRE policies and the company’s RISE values. You will work within standardized procedures to meet deadlines and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Respond to tenant needs, ensuring that administrative and building technical staff resolve problems promptly.
• Assist in performing periodic regular property inspections. Recommend alterations, maintenance and reconditioning as necessary.
• Review and recommend approvals to Property Manager or higher staff for accurate payment of vendor invoices on behalf of the property owner in compliance with the management agreement, CBRE policies and PM approval authorization matrix.
• Responsible for assignment of Purchase Orders per CBRE Policies and PM approval authorization matrix.
• Assist with the preparation of accurate tenant billings.
• Assist in coordinating tenant move-ins and move-outs, and "walks-through" spaces with tenants and tenant improvement department.
• Assist in preparing and delivering timely, accurate, and complete reports.
• May assist in producing research data on budget line items or entering budget data provided by manager into budget reports.
• May gather and confirm preliminary data for accounts receivable aging reports
• Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Impact the quality of own work.
• Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Exchange straightforward information, ask questions and check for understanding.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
