Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings meet safety and quality standards. The role involves diagnosing defects, completing work orders, and preparing units for new tenants across the property.

You will handle preventative maintenance, track inventory, assist with grounds maintenance, and support cost-control efforts through efficient repairs. A flexible schedule, safety training, and OSHA compliance are required.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications Type 1 and II or Universal.
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing by inspecting, punch-listing, scheduling, and supplying tasks.
• Tracks inventory and notifies maintenance about re-ordering needs; uses tools correctly to manage materials.
• Documents service requests accurately for proper tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds and common areas by cleaning, painting curbs, and assisting in cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts.
