Job summary

Power Contracting in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multi-discipline projects including civil, electric substation, distribution, and transmission. You will handle planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and contract administration onsite in Arizona.

The role requires a four-year engineering/construction degree (preferred) and at least 6 years of construction experience, with strong CPM scheduling and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in engineering or construction management (preferred).
• Minimum 6 years of experience on construction projects.
• Ability to provide and manage a Safe Work Environment for all employees and the public.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to create and maintain CPM schedules (MS Project).
• Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Knowledge of safety standards and legal issues.

Responsibilities

• Chart project objectives and plans, set performance requirements, and select participants.
• Optimize utilization of resources and secure cost-effective procurement.
• Coordinate operations and ensure on-time project execution.
• Develop communications and conflict-resolution mechanisms among participants.
• Oversee construction from start to finish and manage budgets.
• Plan, budget, and identify resources; ensure safe workplace.
• Form teams, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress.
• Manage project accounting functions and track expenses; minimize risk.
• Ensure construction activities follow the schedule and revise plans as needed.
• Communicate with contractors and coordinate engineers, consultants, and sub-contractors.
• Hold regular status meetings and monitor site progress.
• Ensure documents are complete and disputes are addressed.
