Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to lead onsite construction engineering for industrial projects, including water/wastewater facilities, data centers, and production plants in the Northern Virginia, DC, and Baltimore region.

You will coordinate with the project team, manage budgets and schedules, support design and field operations, and prepare cost projections while ensuring quality and compliance with contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• 5+ years of heavy industrial construction engineering experience.
• Title, duties and responsibilities will reflect career trajectory.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with contract requirements and schedule (Primavera P6).
• Provide technical support for construction planning and design; resolve design conflicts.
• Develop and administer project engineering procedures and submittals, RFIs, and payments.
• Represent company in meetings with clients, A/E, and project management.
• Interface on-site departments to resolve issues and maintain project schedule.
• Oversee pre-construction, design-build services, and business development for the project.
• Work with Superintendent to control job costs and production budgets.
• Prepare monthly cost, income, and cash flow projections.
• Coordinate, price and assist PM in change orders and claims.
• Maintain project correspondence files and subcontractor insurance compliance.
