Job summary

The Project Engineer at DAVIS is responsible for supporting daily construction management and execution, including safety, cost, site management, scheduling, and contract administration to drive successful project completion. The role develops onsite construction engineering activities across projects.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, plus knowledge of project management and safety standards; LEED or sustainable building experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent construction experience
• Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering and construction project management, including safety standards
• Ability to understand and learn technical systems and processes
• Project management and scheduling software experience
• Sustainable building experience or knowledge of sustainable building practices a plus
• Certifications / accreditations (CPR / First Aid, OSHA 30-hour, WELL, ILFI, LEED) a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepares cost estimates and quantity take-offs, generates scopes of work, and prepares preliminary schedules and site logistics
• Assists with trade management and reviewing trade partner work tickets
• Assists with the three-week look-ahead schedules
• Creates and maintains tracking logs for contract documents, submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and material deliveries
• Prepares subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and assists in the issuance of change proposals and change orders
• Creates and manages quality control and deficiency logs
