Job summary

DAVIS is seeking a Project Engineer in the United States to support daily construction activities and drive safe, efficient project execution. The role covers safety, cost, site management, contracting, scheduling, estimating, and contract administration to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities include coordinating onsite engineering activities, maintaining contract documents, and supporting closeout tasks, with emphasis on adherence to safety programs and quality controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent construction experience.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering and construction project management, including safety standards.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and learn technical systems and processes.
• Project management and scheduling software experience.
• Sustainable building experience or knowledge (LEED, WELL, ILFI) a plus.
• Certifications (CPR/First Aid, OSHA 30-hour, WELL, ILFI, LEED) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Team with daily management and execution of the construction process.
• Help with safety management, cost management, site management, contracting, scheduling, estimating, and contract administration.
• Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for projects.
• Enforce the DAVIS Safety program and participate in safety walks.
• Assist in the project closeout process, including closeout checklists and punch list management.
• Create and maintain logs for documents, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and deliveries.
