Job summary

DAVIS is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the project team with daily management and execution of the construction process. This role will assist in safety management, cost management, site management, contracting, scheduling, estimating, and contract administration functions to help ensure successful completion of the project.

The role plans, develops, coordinates, and manages onsite construction engineering activities for projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent construction experience.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction project management and safety standards.
• Ability to learn technical systems quickly.
• Experience with project scheduling software.
• Sustainable building knowledge (LEED) a plus.
• CPR/First Aid, OSHA 30, WELL, ILFI, LEED a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, take-offs, scopes and preliminary schedules.
• Assist with trade management and look-ahead schedules.
• Maintain contract documents, submittals, RFIs, change orders.
• Assist in subcontract and purchase order issuance.
• Create and manage quality control and as-builts logs.
• Support safety program and project closeout activities.
