Job summary

Actalent seeks a Project Engineer to support major projects onsite in Boise, Idaho. You will provide PM support, coordinate with field teams, manage costs, and ensure contract compliance for mechanical/plumbing scopes.

Responsibilities include tracking labor and material costs, procuring major equipment, expediting deliveries, and reviewing drawings and specs. A strong knowledge of BIM and project software is preferred. This contract-to-hire role offers growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in project engineering and construction management.
• Ability to estimate plumbing and process piping scopes.
• Degrees in Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil or Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Field experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Proficiency with RFIs and reading project plans for mechanical scope.
• Strong skills in Bluebeam and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Track, forecast, and report labor hours and material costs.
• Assist in procurement of major equipment and subcontracts.
• Expedite and track deliveries of major equipment/materials.
• Review contract drawings, detail drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare fabrication shop work packages with material take-off and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with Safety Program and contract requirements.
• Plan and schedule work with field supervision and prepare subcontract/contract schedule.
• Understand construction sequencing for mechanical/plumbing scopes.
