Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Co is seeking a Project Engineer to lead manufacturing projects from contract award through final delivery at Newington, NH. You will collaborate with supply chain, project controls, design, and quality engineering to ensure fabrication, machining, and inspection activities are executed to plan.

You will report to the Engineering Manager and be located 100% onsite in Newington, NH. The role emphasizes on-site leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 2+ years of experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft and CAD software
• Interpret engineering drawings including GD&T
• Familiarity with CNC machining, welding, dimensional inspection, and NDE processes

Responsibilities

• Interpret purchase orders, specifications, and engineering drawings to define manufacturing processes.
• Develop and issue purchase requisitions for raw materials and components observing contract requirements.
• Create detailed manufacturing flow charts and support project controls in developing production schedules.
• Prepare shop travelers to guide fabrication, machining, and inspection operations.
• Partner with operations teams on fixture design and process optimization.
• Lead pre-job briefings on critical manufacturing tasks.
• Investigate and resolve non-conformances in collaboration with other teams and external customers.
• Provide on-the-floor technical support to operations, ensuring resolution of issues.
