Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Newington, NH is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead manufacturing projects from contract award through delivery. You will collaborate with supply chain, project controls, design and quality engineering to ensure fabrication, machining and inspection meet requirements.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this onsite role focuses on developing processes from drawings, materials, and schedules, with hands-on support on the shop floor and close coordination

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience with welding, machining, and NDT.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience with GD&T and geometric tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Interpret purchase orders, specifications, and engineering drawings to define manufacturing processes.
• Develop and issue purchase requisitions for raw materials, components, and services following contract requirements.
• Create detailed manufacturing flow charts and support project controls in developing production schedules.
• Prepare shop travelers to guide fabrication, machining, and inspection operations.
• Partner with operations teams on fixture design and process optimization.
• Lead pre-job briefings for critical manufacturing tasks.
• Investigate and resolve non-conformances in collaboration with our teams and external customers.
• Provide on-the-floor technical support to operations, ensuring resolution of issues.
