Job summary

Kokosing is a leading general contractor seeking an on-site Construction Engineer in Maryland to plan, develop, coordinate and manage onsite engineering for heavy highway and bridge projects.

You will lead project engineering staff, ensure contract compliance, support scheduling with Primavera P6, and provide technical guidance from design interpretation to field execution. A civil engineering degree and 2+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred or equivalent technical training and related experience.
• 2+ years of construction engineering experience.
• Bridge experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate and manage onsite construction engineering activities for Heavy Highway and bridge projects.
• Manage project engineering personnel functions and activities, including planning and assignments.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with requirements and support the construction schedule (Primavera P6).
• Provide technical support for construction planning, design interpretation and methods.
• Develop and administer project engineering procedures, submittals, RFIs, and expediting material deliveries.
• Represent company, project and/or department in meetings with A/E, client and project management.
• Interface on-site departments to resolve problems and support the project schedule.
• Oversee pre-construction, design-build services, and business development for the project.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
