Job summary

Entergy in The Woodlands, Texas seeks a Project Controls Manager for Capital Projects. The role leads a team of schedule and cost professionals to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery of large capital projects.

Collaborate with EPC vendors and project management to maintain WBS integrity and risk controls. The position requires a bachelor’s degree (or 8 years of related experience) and 6–10 years of capital project controls experience, with strong ERP, Primavera P6, Excel, and Power BI

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or 8 years of related work experience.
6+ years in capital project management or project controls with a focus on utility capital projects preferred.
Experience with EPC contracts and owner/contractor project controls.
Strong skills in ERP and scheduling tools; proficient with Excel and Power BI.

Responsibilities

Deliver on schedule and cost reporting including weekly and monthly submissions feeding Power BI models.
Verify EPC performance via earned value, SPI, CPI, and KPI trends; provide mitigation recommendations.
Review contractor deliverables and PCNs; monitor milestones and contract terms for compliance.
Lead biweekly and monthly cost reviews, accruals, and EAC/ETC analyses; review invoicing.
Coordinate risk register updates; develop mitigation plans with stakeholders.
Act as CPM SME; lead schedule reviews, analyze critical path, and interpret risk data for mitigation.
