Job summary

The Fountainhead Group is seeking a Production Planner / Scheduler to develop and maintain production schedules that align with customer demand while optimizing capacity, labor, materials, inventory, and on-time delivery. This role reports to the Vice President of Production Control and Logistics and works across Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Engineering, and Quality.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities change

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• ERP/MRP experience; Epicor/Kinetic preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple competing requirements and adjust quickly to changing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer requirements, inventory levels, available capacity, and manufacturing priorities.
• Coordinate production schedules with manufacturing supervisors and department leaders.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, material shortages, equipment downtime, or changing customer requirements.
• Work with purchasing and materials management to ensure required raw materials, components, and outside services are available when needed.
• Maintain accurate planning data, production orders, lead times, and scheduling information within the ERP/MRP system.
• Coordinate with Sales and Customer Service regarding production commitments and changes to customer requirements.
• Coordinate weekly production meetings and provide updates regarding current and upcoming production requirements.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and planning reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Max Compensation

USD $75,000.00/Yr.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.
• Experience working with an ERP/MRP system; experience with Epicor/Kinetic preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple competing requirements and adjust quickly to changing conditions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft 365 applications is a plus.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
