Job summary

Forgent Power is seeking a Fabrication Production Planner to coordinate production workflows, schedules, and material requirements to ensure timely delivery of fabricated products. This role focuses on optimizing resources, minimizing downtime, and ensuring materials are available to meet schedules.

The candidate will collaborate across sales, engineering, and production, using ERP/MRP systems to drive data-driven decisions and resolve bottlenecks on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ERP/MRP software for planning and tracking.
• Ability to analyze forecasts and production rates for data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication to liaise between procurement, production, and sales.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and adjust detailed manufacturing schedules (MPS).
• Coordinate with fabrication teams to optimize resources and timelines.
• Monitor inventory levels, initiate purchase requisitions, ensure material availability.
• Release manufacturing orders based on MRP and track progress.
• Address production disruptions, material shortages, or machinery issues.
