Product Owner - Media Platforms & Services

Seeking a seasoned and hands-on Product Owner to lead product delivery across a wide portfolio of media platform initiatives. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, handle a large workload, and act as the connective tissue between engineering, stakeholders, and cross-functional product lines. You'll be working alongside a highly committed team to stabilize and scale our media platform operations. Ideal for someone who thrives in a complex, high-volume environment and is ready to make an immediate impact.

MUST HAVES

• 5-8+ years as a Product Owner in a fast-paced technical environment
• Strong experience with Agile/SCRUM practices and sprint ceremonies (planning, standups, grooming)
• Exceptional communication skills - able to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language
• Proven ability to write detailed technical user stories and manage backlogs
• Experience working across multiple platforms and API integrations
• Comfortable owning both strategy and execution, including BA-type responsibilities
• Highly adaptable and capable of functioning independently with minimal direction
• Ability to analyze datasets and uncover actionable insights
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

NICE TO HAVES

• Prior experience in media platforms, streaming technology (e.g., HLS, DRM, watermarking)
• Familiarity with the video distribution supply chain
• Exposure to AWS architecture
• Understanding of digital content ecosystems and standards
• Experience in platform strategy development

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive product delivery across platforms like Genie, VPP, TM2, and API integrations
• Collaborate with engineers, Studio Ops, and stakeholder teams to align product goals
• Write and refine user stories; manage the backlog and sprint execution
• Join sprint ceremonies and QA processes to ensure high-quality feature delivery
• Partner with external vendors and internal teams to support platform operations
• Gather performance data and identify areas for product improvement
• Serve as a go-to expert for media platform functionality and roadmap
• Contribute to long-term strategy once operational gaps are stabilized
