Sector: AECO - Owner & Public Sector (O&PS)

Ready to be a part of the asset management revolution by enabling communities through GIS-centric solutions for permitting, licensing, and land management to streamline operations and compliance requirements through digital workflows?

As a Product Manager, you will work at the intersection of strategy and execution within the Owner & Public Sector. You will own, develop, and maintain your product roadmap, from short to long-term priorities, in addition to diving into the details and delivering valuable enhancements to our users and partners. In this position you will be responsible for permitting, licensing, and land management within Trimble Unity Permit and collaborate with other areas ranging from users, development, documentation, solution engineers, tech support, customer success, training, partners, and marketing on product enhancements and knowledge. There will be a strong focus in municipal, local, state, and federal government, public works, utility districts, transportation, higher education, airports, commercial, and related segments.

What you will do

Develop, own, and maintain the product strategy via the product roadmap (short and long-term)

Break down high-level roadmap into epics and user stories

Work with developers and UX designers on the underlying platform and front-end customer view

Work closely with development on release & sprint planning, backlog grooming, and trio standups

Listen and communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of different stakeholders, both internal and external

Work with key stakeholders and other products managers to articulate strategy, roadmap, and product feature availability

Organize and lead customer feedback sessions and interviews (Voice of Customer) to understand needs and validate assumptions

Understand user personas and use cases to positively impact customer experience

Collaborate with internal groups such as tech support, professional services, training, and customer success in escalated troubleshooting

Plan and participate in internal education webinars and external marketing webinars

Quickly grasp new concepts while developing trust and credibility with stakeholders

Monitor, review, and prioritize enhancements submitted by users through the idea portal, onsite visits, and virtual meetings

Work with fellow product managers on product interdependencies

What Skills and Experience You Should Bring

5+ years of experience in permitting, code enforcement, local government, building inspections, GIS, product management, and / or permitting platform

Bachelor and / or Master of planning, local government, GIS, engineering, information science / technology or related field

Comprehensive knowledge of construction, community development, code enforcement, building inspections, and GIS

Exceptional ability to work cross-functionally and build deep relationships with core stakeholders and team members

Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to command attention and build consensus among external and internal customers at varying levels

Experience with software engineering and / or robust application development principles and practices

Experience in the design, implementation, and / or administration of Trimble Unity, Cityworks solutions or equivalent technology

Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time

Willingness to work with global distributed teams
