Role Description:

The Product Owner owns, manages, and prioritises the user-story/incidents backlog to align with feature priorities. They understand feature complexities and advise the Development Manager and Product Manager to ensure the product fulfills customer needs with the strategic direction. The Product Owner collaborates with the Product Manager in the gathering, tracking, evaluation, and prioritisation of enhancement requests and known issues from clients, regional consultants, sales, support, and other internal staff.

Responsibilities:

  1. Requirements refinements through customer interviews and onsite visits/observations
  2. Initiate Regulatory Impact Analysis
  3. Delivery of visual and textual requirements, design artifacts
  4. Work with UX team to develop prototypes as needed
  5. Provide the ADO backlog by feature, user stories and incidents with estimates, and appropriate design artifacts per the Definition of Ready in the Development Release Plan
  6. Organize Internal and User Focus Groups, Feature Demos with customers where appropriate
  7. Present product enhancements on user groups
  8. Support sales/CS with input for tenders
  9. Define and describe the functionality of new articles of the product
  10. Propose alternative workarounds for customers’ needs given the current release
  11. Fast reaction on highest priority support calls (patient safety, customer cannot work)
  12. Update backlog to reflect new information discovered during feedback sessions, market needs
  13. Complete Operational Readiness Plan deliverables
  14. Provide release trainings for CS and sales
  15. Ensure that test plans cover intended use and workflows shown in feature demos and training artifacts
  16. Feature Preview and FCS preparation, feedback and response (if applicable)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Experience in the conception of commercial software solutions
  2. In-depth knowledge of the processes in medical laboratories
  3. Knowledge of legal requirements regarding approval procedures for laboratory software
  4. Procedures of Dutch and French public/private billing
  5. Processes in Anatomic Pathology workflow
  6. Knowledge of Medical device, interface and instrument integration (HL7 and ASTM etc)
  7. Knowledge of microbiology
  8. Knowledge of the Bloodbank
  9. Knowledge about ISO13485
  10. Native Dutch
  11. Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
