Job summary

CFS is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support procurement across manufacturing operations and collaborate with engineering, production, finance, and logistics to source materials and services cost-effectively.

The role emphasizes supplier management, negotiation, and a solid understanding of supply chain operations to maintain production schedules and drive efficiency in Taunton, MA. Strong Excel and ERP experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and market trends.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience working with MRP/ERP systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules.
• Track shipments and resolve shortages, delays, and missed deliveries.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and supplier service agreements.
• Maintain purchasing reports and procurement records.
• Process return-to-vendor transactions and related documentation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure materials are available to meet customer demand.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
