Procurement Specialist

Salary: $65,000 – $80,000 Schedule: Full-Time, 100% Onsite

CFS is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Procurement Specialist. This individual will be responsible for supporting procurement activities across manufacturing operations and will work closely with engineering, production, finance, and logistics teams to ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively.

The ideal candidate will have strong supplier management experience, excellent negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of supply chain operations. This role is critical to maintaining production schedules, controlling costs, and supporting overall operational success.

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules.
• Track shipments and proactively resolve shortages, delays, and missed deliveries.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and supplier service agreements.
• Maintain purchasing reports and procurement records.
• Process return-to-vendor transactions and related documentation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure materials are available to meet customer demand.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment or similar industry.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and market trends.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience working with MRP and/or ERP systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
