Job summary

Thunderbird LLC seeks a Process Engineer to develop and optimize molding processes at our Shelbyville-area facility. You will partner with process techs to apply scientific molding principles and drive continuous improvements across the plant while ensuring product quality and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with scheduling, tracking changeover times, and training staff in production processes and safety.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of processing engineering experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to follow written procedures and instructions.
• Basic computer literacy to record production information.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Understanding of formal scientific molding training (RJG, Bozelli, Paulson, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with scheduling to optimize efficiency.
• Track changeover time and improve efficiency.
• Prepare and set up tools and machines and adjust machines as needed to ensure product quality.
• Maintain equipment as required.
• Train production personnel in areas of production processes and safety.
• Ensure all operations are according to established safety rules and procedures.
• Work with engineering and quality control to continuously improve products and processes.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned.
• Project Management; including Capital Investment.
