Job summary

Thunderbird Molding is seeking a Process Engineer to develop new molding processes from scratch using scientific molding principles and to partner with process techs to drive plant-wide improvements.

The role emphasizes hands-on tool setup, changeover tracking, equipment maintenance, safety training, and collaboration with engineering and quality teams to continually enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of processing engineering experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.
• Basic computer literacy for recording production material information.
• Attention to detail and time management skills.
• Understanding of formal scientific molding process training (RJG, Bozelli, Paulson, or similar).

Process Engineer Position Overview

Process Engineer Essential Functions

• Coordinates with scheduling to optimize efficiency.

Process Engineer Required Experience

• Proven experience 3-5 years in processing engineering.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to use computer software to record information about production material (Basic computer literacy).
• Attention to detail and time management skills are essential.
• Understanding of formal scientific molding process training (RJG, Bozelli , Paulson, or similar).

Process Engineer Physical Demands and Work Environment

• This position requires you to be onsite daily.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently required standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to read applicable instructions.
