Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a licensed pharmacist for the Cascade Medical Offices - O/P Pharmacy 1st Floor-A/Main - 2808 in Georgia. The role involves compounding, dispensing, drug utilization reviews, and patient counseling in a high-volume setting.

Under supervision, you will work to ensure compliant pharmaceutical care, review prescriptions, educate staff and physicians, and maintain records for legend and controlled substances in a patient-friendly environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (BS) and graduate of accredited school of pharmacy.
Georgia Pharmacist License required at hire.
Basic Life Support.
Knowledge of formulary systems, inventory control, and budget procedures for a high-volume pharmacy.
Ability to interact pleasantly and effectively with medical staff and patients.

Responsibilities

Performs general pharmacist duties including compounding and dispensing drugs, reviewing prescriptions for overdoses, and maintaining records of legend and controlled substances.
Provides pharmaceutical care including drug utilization review, allergy screening, and monitoring interactions; counsels patients.
Educates physicians on cost-effective therapy and formulary usage; orients and trains new staff; supports education programs.
