Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a full-time Medical Assistant for our Natick practice, on-site 8:00am-4:30pm, with a 40-hour work week. You will support clinical and non-clinical patient services, including vital signs, specimen collection, EHR data entry, and patient education under physician direction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred
• BLS Certification preferred; CMA Certification - preferred
• Direct MA or medical field work experience 1-2 years required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to prioritize tasks; privacy/compliance knowledge

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, document patient information, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow
• Assist in examination and treatment under physician supervision
• Explain procedures, medications, and instructions to patients; provide patient education materials
• Perform general office duties and act as liaison with other departments to support patients and staff
• Collect blood and other specimens; prepare specimens for testing; may perform phlebotomy per competence
• Maintain immunization inventory and monitor expiration dates; administer vaccines if certified
• Support quality initiatives like patient identifiers and hand hygiene
