Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a medical assistant to support healthcare teams with clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of providers. You will take vital signs, document information, schedule appointments, and help manage patient flow to ensure smooth visits.

The role requires strong communication, reliable time management, and accuracy in medical records. Onsite position at 850 Boylston Street with day shifts and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assisting preferred.
• 1-2 years direct MA experience preferred.
• BLS and CMA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment for healthcare providers.
• Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
• Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, or completing insurance forms; liaise with other departments and advocate for patients.
• Collect tissue or other laboratory specimens, log specimens, and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keep rooms neat and stocked with supplies.
