Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in construction administration, project coordination, purchasing or estimating support.
• Hands-on experience preparing or tracking submittals, shop drawings, or material buyouts.
• Ability to read construction drawings and project specifications to identify required product data.
• Proven follow-through on open administrative items relying on external approvals.
• Solid written communication with Project Managers, vendors and general contractors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new project software quickly.
• Local candidate on-site in Portland, Oregon area.

Responsibilities

• Submittal Management: Build project submittal registers, gather product data, coordinate samples, and drive shop drawing approvals.
• Flow Control & Scheduling: Collaborate with project accounting to throttle preconstruction volume and prevent bottlenecks.
• Material Buyout: Convert approved submittals into detailed material lists and create buyout purchase orders.
• Software & Drawing Updates: Update takeoff drawings and schedule networks to reflect outcomes and reviewer comments.
• Status Reporting: Track active submittals and report progress in regular operations meetings.
