Job summary

Beam Living is seeking a Porter for Kips Bay Court in New York, onsite. You will maintain a safe, clean building, perform upkeep and janitorial duties, and handle winter snow removal while delivering excellent resident service.

You’ll cover the Concierge lunch break, receive deliveries, and use tablet-based work orders to complete tasks. The role supports site operations, acts as a property ambassador, and embodies Beam Living's culture of care.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience within facilities maintenance.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to try new things.
• Relentless drive to be your best and learn from actions around you.
• Open-minded and adaptable to change.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to respond to emergencies at any time.
• Valid NY Driver's License enrolled in LENS program.
• Able to use tablet-based work order program to complete orders.
• Basic–Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Outlook.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to multi-task under high pressure.
• Overtime may be required in emergencies.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work 11pm - 8am.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean building and property.
• Perform upkeep and janitorial duties to keep the community in great condition.
• Perform snow removal during winter season.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and represent the company values.
• Assist Concierge during lunch break; receive deliveries and manage materials.
• Support site and operations as directed by your manager.
• Be an ambassador of the property and answer resident questions.
• Be flexible to additional duties as assigned.
