Job Overview

As a Part-Time Porter on the Environmental Services team, you’ll maintain a safe and clean building and provide excellent customer service to residents, performing tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Help create an oasis in Manhattan by maintaining the cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of occupied residential buildings.
• Ensure a safe working environment by following on-site sanitation requirements with regards to household trash, oversized discarded items and recycling removal.
• Perform general cleaning duties (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, window washing, dusting, operation of an interior building trash compactor machine, etc.).
• Deliver written notices to resident apartments to keep lines of communication open.
• Operate a motor vehicle to help expedite large jobs and get things done.
• Serve as an ambassador of the property by answering resident questions and being generally helpful while always representing our cultural responsibilities.
• Additional duties may be assigned by your Supervisor.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
• Proper photo identification and work authorization paperwork.
• Valid violation-free New York State driver’s license that must be enrolled in the New York State License Event Notification Service (LENS) program.

What We Offer

Hourly Rate: $22.41 (exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience & location).
