Job summary

SunOpta is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the plant leadership and Eden Prairie HQ Finance team. This role provides day-to-day financial analysis and reporting, tracking performance to budget, and supporting internal control processes.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in finance or cost accounting, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Oracle ERP. The position is onsite at Eden Prairie, MN with travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in Finance, Operations, or Cost Accounting.
• Experience with Oracle ERP and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and monthly cost analysis vs target.
• Identify root causes of variances and support cost reduction efforts.
• Maintain internal controls and assist in monthly close and budget processes.
• Prepare journal entries and month-end close documentation; analyze inventory transactions.
• Support audits and CAPEX budgeting.
