Job summary

SunOpta is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the plant leadership team, providing day-to-day financial analysis and reporting to the Plant Management Team and Eden Prairie HQ Finance. You will track performance against budget, support internal controls, and partner with site and corporate teams.

Responsibilities include cost variance analysis, cost-reduction projects, inventory accuracy, month-end close, and annual budget preparation. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Finance, Operations, Cost Accounting experience preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and monthly analysis of actual costs versus target.
• Identify root causes of variances and drive mitigation.
• Develop and improve analysis and reporting to manage cost performance to goal.
• Partner with plant team to identify, implement and measure cost reduction projects.
• Prepare journal entries, inventory reserve calculations, account analysis and reconciliation.
