Optum is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst in Eden Prairie, MN to serve as a finance liaison and support FP&A, controllership, and corporate teams. The role focuses on month-end close, forecasting, and long-range planning to drive growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• 1+ years of experience with financial and variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Ability to work any shift within 8:00 am - 5:00 pm business hours.

Responsibilities

• Support consolidated financial planning and analysis for Optum Health, including revenue, medical cost, SG&A, and earnings.
• Prepare meaningful, decision-enabling financial reports for senior management that clearly articulate key drivers and takeaways.
• Assist controllership with month-end close activities.
• Support the production of annual operating plans, long-range forecasts, and board materials.
• Develop and maintain financial reports to communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget.
• Produce clear, well-formatted reports and presentations for management.
• Continually develop and refine internal financial modeling and process improvements.
