Job summary

Voyager Technologies, based in Penrose, CO, seeks a Chemical Engineering Technician to help stand up and operate pilot facilities for chemical research. You will work with operations, quality control, and R&D to bring systems online in a full-time onsite role on a 9/80 schedule.

The Lead Chemical Technician reports to the role within the Engineering Chemicals Team in Penrose, CO. This position requires hands-on mechanical work and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years in industrial manufacturing or related field.
• Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology with 2+ years relevant experience.
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose mechanical issues.
• Hand and shop tool knowledge (power tools, saws, grinders).
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain piping systems and fittings.
• Support pilot plant operations with engineering team.
• Maintain and repair pumps, valves and hardware.
• Assemble and install structural systems (Unistrut, framing).
• Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues.
• Manage pilot plant and spare parts inventory.
• Collaborate to stand up new pilot systems and facilities.
