Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Senior Process Development Chemist in Penrose, CO to lead bench-to-pilot development of energetic material processes. You will design DoE experiments to define operating windows, understand kinetics and thermodynamics, and work with engineers to translate data into production equipment.

As the first dedicated hire in this function, you could grow into leading a team as our Colorado operations expand, with a potential move to Pueblo, CO, while staying onsite at

Qualifications

• MS in chemistry or related physical science with emphasis on process development.
• 5+ years in process chemistry or scale-up with DoE experience.
• Experience transferring processes from lab to pilot/production.
• Ability to communicate complex results in writing and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute bench-scale experiments to characterize kinetics and thermodynamics.
• Apply DoE to define operating windows and key process parameters.
• Characterize hazards and safety aspects for safe scale-up.
• Ensure scale-relevant designs and data transfer to engineering.
• Produce data packages for the engineering team.
• Collaborate with chemical engineers to close data gaps.
• Support safe lab operations and inventory management.
