Job summary

Evolve-Therapy-Services seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to support an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility in Selma, Alabama. The PTA will work under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist to deliver planned therapies and coordinate care for residents.

The role includes screenings, group and individual sessions, and education for residents and staff. Licensure must be active in the state, with ongoing professional development encouraged. Full time, part time, or PRN options may apply.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification.
• Assume responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention/treatment.
• Assist in evaluation and in developing treatment plans with the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct individual and group treatment per the treatment plan including motor, balance, mobility, and transfer activities.
• Train residents, families, and staff in use of therapy equipment and modalities.
• Document CMS-compliant and medically necessary progress in the EMR system.
