Job summary

Evolve Therapy Services in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility on a PRN basis to support therapy services.

Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will provide screenings, implement treatment plans, and document progress in NetHealth EMR.

Qualifications include an associate degree, an active PTA license, and commitment to continuing education, with competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification.
• Complete compliant and medically necessary CMS documentation in NetHealth EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention/treatment.
• Identify indications for evaluations at appropriate intervals and assist in the evaluation under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in developing targeted short-term and long-term goals and treatment plans.
• Deliver individual and group treatments focused on strength, mobility, gait, balance, ROM, and modalities.
• Assist in selecting techniques/media and adapting them by resident performance after therapist consultation.
• Monitor residents' response to interventions and modify as needed with therapist input.
• Help establish and modify resident schedules with the Physical Therapist and care team.
• Maintain department schedules and adapt for treatment regimen as required.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on exercises and equipment usage.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and ensure timely documentation.

Education

Associate's degree in physical therapy
