Genoa Healthcare in Wheaton, IL is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy. You will dispense prescriptions and perform clerical duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

The role is 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm CST, with a wage range of $29.00 to $52.00 per hour. Local transportation is required and candidates must have an Illinois pharmacy tech license and certification.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician working in an onsite setting.
• Active and unrestricted Illinois Pharmacy Technician license.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license.
• Ability to use your own car to get money orders when needed and make deliveries if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned
